Dear Parents and Carers,
It is a pleasure to welcome you to Oxenford State School 's website. Whether your child is attending school for the first time or changing schools, it is an exciting yet daunting step. To help allay any concerns may I assure you that at Oxenford State School we believe the most important people to enter our grounds are the children and we take our responsibility to prepare them for their future.
Our school strives to provide high quality educational programs with an emphasis on the development and measurement of students' Literacy and Numeracy skills. Special programs to cater for the breadth of individual student needs supplement classroom practice, including, Learning Assistance and enrichment programs.
Our computer lab offers exciting opportunities to integrate Information and Communication Technology as a teaching tool in all areas of learning. Classroom computers with Internet access augment and compliment our computer lab along with Smartboards in each double teaching space.

Our recently revised Student Management Policy provides an effective framework to ensure students are managed with respect and assisted to make informed, appropriate choices about all aspects of school life. This framework and management philosophy enables us to assist students to be responsible, independent thinkers and provides an educational environment that enables all students to maximise their learning opportunities.
We also believe that parents and teachers need to share the responsibility for a child's education and I hope that we will be able to work closely together in our endeavour to realise each child's full potential. There are many avenues for parents to participate in our education programs through formal groups in the school – the Parents & Citizen's Association and Class Parent Representative Program as well as helping out in our classrooms or tuckshop. Parents are welcomed into our school at all times.
We are also extremely proud of our highly qualified and very committed staff. Our staff aims to provide a warm, friendly, welcoming environment where children's rights and individual differences are respected and catered for.
